Daily use burns through B1. This is the one I recommend.

The body holds about three weeks of vitamin B1 and spends it fastest on the nights that come with heavy daily use. What drains it, the three case reports from the video, and the formula I built around a B1 that actually gets in, plus the terpene. Ten-second check below.

Where it goes

B1 is a small tank with a big drain.

Every gram of carbohydrate you burn costs a little vitamin B1. The body cannot make it, and it keeps only a few weeks in reserve. Tap what empties it.

What the video cited

Three case reports. One floor.

A case report is medicine's alarm bell: one patient, written up so other doctors recognize the next one. Between 2019 and 2026, three teams wrote up heavy daily users whose B1 ran out. All three were treated in hospital with high-dose vitamin B1. All three recovered.

1

Fresno, 2019. A 41-year-old whose B1 fell far enough to injure the brain after weeks of vomiting. Treated with B1; recovered.

Chaudhari A, Li ZY, Long A, Afshinnik A. Cureus. 2019;11(7):e5109.
2

El Paso, 2026. A woman in her twenties: eight weeks of nausea, then double vision, a walk that would not steady, confusion. B1 by IV; rapid recovery.

Kattamuri L, et al. Journal of Brown Hospital Medicine. 2026;5(1).
3

Federal Practitioner, 2021. A 57-year-old with nausea, vomiting and belly pain and an acid build-up in the blood her doctors could not otherwise explain. Meat and fish had left her diet; simple carbohydrate had replaced them. High-dose B1 for four days; symptoms resolved.

Al Shabeeb R, Safadi AL, Trevisan C, Singaraju R. Federal Practitioner. 2021;38(4):e29-e31.

Case reports show what the floor looks like, not how often people reach it. Most heavy daily users never get near it. The point is the direction: the drain is real, the tank is small, and the fourth paper on the screen is about the form of B1 that gets in.

Balakumar P, Rohilla A, Krishan P, Solairaj P, Thangathirupathi A. Pharmacological Research. 2010;61(6):482-488. A review of benfotiamine, the form of B1 in Calm.
The formula

So I built Calm for the daily user.

A bottle of MGB+ Calm beside black peppercorns, cloves, sliced ginger and turmeric root

Not a multivitamin with a milligram of ordinary B1 in it. Six actives, two capsules a day with a meal, built around the two things in the video: a B1 that gets in, and the terpene.

The B1

Benfotiamine, a well-absorbed form of vitamin B1 that reaches the blood at several times the level of the ordinary kind, with magnesium glycinate alongside it. Supports normal nerve function and energy metabolism.*

The terpene

Beta-caryophyllene, from black pepper, cloves and copaiba. The lead active in Calm, with ginger for a settled stomach and curcumin, plus the piperine that makes it absorb.*

Who this is for

For adults who want a daily B1 that gets in, with the terpene, the ginger and the magnesium alongside it. Not for pregnancy, nursing, or under 18. Ask your clinician first if you take a blood thinner or live with kidney disease.

Calm is a supplement, not the hospital treatment in those case reports. Vomiting that will not stop, confusion, double vision, or a walk that will not steady is an emergency department visit today, not an order.

Questions patients ask
Why not just a multivitamin?

Most carry a milligram or so of ordinary thiamine, the water-soluble kind. The gut absorbs it through a transporter that gets less efficient as the dose rises and that several common drugs block. Benfotiamine reaches the blood at several times the level, which is why Calm uses 100 mg of it.

What is the terpene?

Beta-caryophyllene, 100 mg per serving, from black pepper, cloves and copaiba. It is the lead active in Calm. Benfotiamine, magnesium glycinate, ginger, and curcumin with piperine round out the six.

Can I take it with what my clinician prescribed?

For most people, yes. Bring the label to your next visit. Metformin and several antidepressants are among the drugs the 2020 study found interfere with ordinary B1 absorption, which is one more reason Calm uses benfotiamine.

Does it matter when I take it?

With a meal. Benfotiamine and the terpene are both best taken with food, and most people pair the two capsules with breakfast or dinner.

How does the guarantee work?

Twelve weeks from delivery. If Calm is not helping, email support@belly-md.com and your first order is refunded, up to three bottles. You keep the bottles. One refund per household.

The tank is small. Keep it full.
