About BellyMD

It started at our kitchen table.

BellyMD makes physician-built supplements for the gut-brain pattern: bloating, brain fog, queasy mornings, reflux, fatigue. But it didn't start in a lab. It started with two people in our own family who spent years feeling unwell, with normal test results and no answers.

Where it began

The pattern we couldn't un-see.

For years, my mom lived with nausea, vomiting, IBS, and a low mood no one could explain. Test after test came back normal. She was told it was stress, or anxiety, or nothing.

The list of things it wasn't kept growing. The thing it was never got a name.

When she finally got the right support for the gut-brain pattern, she got her life back. She takes MGB+ Calm every single day now. Watching that happen is the reason BellyMD exists.

Why we do this

A family thing, first.

Rick saw the same pattern in me, in an earlier phase, that he'd seen in my mom. I started on MGB+, and today I feel better than I have in my entire adult life.

That's the truth behind BellyMD: before it was a company, it was a husband paying attention to the people he loves. The formulas we sell are the ones we take, and the ones we give the people at this table.

Meet the founder

I'm an ER doctor. I kept seeing the same pattern.

I'm Rick Pescatore. I'm an ER doctor and the editor-in-chief of Emergency Medicine News. Before medicine, I studied aerospace engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy. Finding patterns in complicated systems is the only job I've ever had.

In my emergency department, I kept seeing the same story:

Bloating. Brain fog. Fatigue that never lifts. A gut that runs your whole day. Labs come back normal. Scans come back normal. Medications never quite fit.

I started seeing it everywhere. Friends. Family. Patients who came back month after month with no answers.

The pattern was real. It had a name in the medical literature. But nobody had built a treatment for it.

So I did.

MGB+ is three formulas. Each one targets a different part of the gut-brain axis. Every ingredient is on the label, at the dose the clinical trials actually used. No proprietary blends. No magic numbers.

It's the protocol I run on myself, and the one I'd give my own family. Because I did.

Real doses. Real people. Look us up.

We don't hide behind a logo. Rick is a board-certified emergency physician you can verify in a thirty-second search. Our scientific advisory board is practicing physicians and clinicians, not paid endorsements. And yes, one of them is family: the behavior analyst on our board is the mom from the story above.

Every formula is third-party tested, with a certificate of analysis available on request. We would rather earn your trust the slow way: by being a real family, putting our names on the label, and telling you exactly what's in the bottle and why.

“We built this so you don't have to wait years to be heard.”

About BellyMD

Questions about the company.

Who founded BellyMD?

Rick Pescatore, DO. He's a board-certified emergency physician and a former state public health director. He co-founded BellyMD with his wife, Kady Pescatore, JD. The idea came from years of watching the same patients come back to the ER with the same symptoms and no real answers, and in our own family.

What does BellyMD make?

Supplements for the gut-brain pattern: bloating, brain fog, queasy mornings, reflux, fatigue, and the cluster of symptoms that travel together. Three formulas — Clear, Cool, and Calm — each built around a different part of the gut-brain axis. We follow the same clinical framework hospitals use (Rome V), with ingredients at the doses real trials studied.

What is the gut-brain axis?

It's the two-way conversation between your gut and your brain. The vagus nerve, hormones, immune signals, and gut bacteria all play a part. When that conversation runs smoothly, you feel clear and steady. When it gets stuck, you get the pattern: bloating, brain fog, queasy mornings, fatigue, sleep that won't hold.

Are BellyMD products tested for purity?

Yes. Every batch is tested by an outside lab for ingredient potency, heavy metals, and contaminants. We can send a certificate of analysis on request. Our manufacturers are FDA-registered, cGMP-certified, and based in the United States.

How is BellyMD different from other supplement brands?

Most brands start with a trending ingredient. We started with a clinical pattern. Every dose is on the label. Every claim ties back to a published paper. Our Scientific Advisory Board is three practicing physicians, not paid endorsements. And every order comes with a 12-week money-back guarantee. Keep the bottle.

Where is BellyMD based?

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. BellyMD, Inc. is a Delaware C-Corp. Small team of physicians, scientists, and operators.
