MeNome Medical Disclaimer

Effective date: June 1, 2026

This Medical Disclaimer is incorporated by reference into the MeNome Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. It explains an important point in plain terms: MeNome helps you notice patterns and have better conversations with your healthcare provider — it does not replace one.

1. For informational and educational purposes only

The MeNome application and all of its content and features — including the BellyScore, the Cora assistant, the BioScan, symptom trends, pattern detection, the MeNome Map, and questionnaires (including Rome-criteria and Bristol Stool Scale tools), together with all text, graphics, and other materials (the "Content") — are provided by BellyMD, Inc. for general informational, educational, and self-tracking purposes only.

The Content is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Not a medical device; no diagnosis or treatment

MeNome is a consumer wellness and educational product. It is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, disorder, or health condition, and it makes no such claims.

The BellyScore is a general wellness indicator computed from what you log. It is not a clinical score, a diagnosis, or a measure of any disease state.

BioScan outputs (estimated heart rate, heart-rate variability, and a "voice stress" indicator) are estimates from consumer-grade sensors and software. They are not clinical or medical-grade measurements, should not be used to make any health decision, and may be affected by lighting, movement, background noise, or other conditions.

Information from Apple Health is presented for context only and is not interpreted as a clinical finding.

3. No doctor-patient relationship

Using MeNome does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-patient, or any other professional, clinical, or fiduciary relationship between you and BellyMD, its founders, its personnel, or any healthcare professional affiliated with BellyMD. This is true even though BellyMD was founded by a physician and may reference physicians or clinical concepts. No communication through the App, including with Cora, establishes such a relationship or constitutes the practice of medicine.

4. The Cora assistant is not a clinician

Cora is an automated, informational tool. It is not a doctor, nurse, therapist, or other healthcare professional, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Cora's responses are for general educational purposes, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and must not be relied upon for any medical or health decision. Always confirm any health-related information with a qualified healthcare provider.

5. Always consult a qualified professional

Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition, your symptoms, your medications, your diet, or before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, supplement, or health regimen. Never disregard professional medical advice, and never delay seeking it, because of something in MeNome. Reliance on any Content is solely at your own risk.

6. Emergencies

MeNome is not for medical emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, or you experience severe or concerning symptoms, call your doctor or your local emergency number (in the United States, 911) immediately, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Warning signs that warrant prompt medical attention include, but are not limited to: severe or persistent abdominal pain, blood in your stool or vomit, persistent vomiting, unintentional weight loss, difficulty swallowing, signs of dehydration, fever with abdominal pain, or any symptom that feels severe or unusual to you. Do not use MeNome to evaluate or manage these situations.

7. No supplement or treatment claims; dietary supplements

MeNome may reference general wellness concepts, lifestyle factors, and educational information about the gut-brain connection. Nothing in the App is a recommendation to use any specific product, supplement, drug, or treatment for any condition.

Where the App references or links to dietary supplements (including BellyMD's MGB+ line), the following statement applies on those surfaces: These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

8. Individual results vary

Health is individual. Any patterns, correlations, or observations the App surfaces are statistical and general, are based only on the limited data you provide, and may not reflect your actual physiology or causation. Results, insights, and outcomes vary from person to person, and past patterns do not predict future outcomes.

9. Accuracy and completeness

We strive to provide useful Content, but we make no representation or warranty that it is accurate, complete, current, or appropriate for your circumstances. The Content may contain errors or omissions and may change without notice.

10. Limitation of liability

Your use of MeNome and reliance on any Content is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BellyMD disclaims all liability arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Content, as further described in the Limitation of Liability section of the Terms of Service.

11. Acknowledgement

By using MeNome, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Medical Disclaimer, and that you will not use the App as a substitute for professional medical care.
